TEXAS

Last year for Christmas Ben's parents gave us tickets to the BYU vs. Texas game.

I wasn't sure if I would be able to go if I had a full time teaching job, as the game was scheduled during the first week of school, but there were still no teaching jobs in Ithaca this year so we were both able to go!

Ben and I flew into Houston, where his twin brother Doug and his family live.
Ben's parents and grandparents were there also and we all headed to Austin the next morning.

(of course that was after we had played soccer, played with the kids, and all put on our awesome blue t-shirts)

It was fun to see Austin, and of course to stop at the Blue Bell Ice Cream factory on the way there

The game was really fun.... until the second half when BYU fell asleep.
We also met Ben's sister Lauren her husband for the game.

We got to see the Texas state capital and hear an awesome bagpipe band.

We had fun checking out the city with Doug and Annie.

Then we drove back to Houston to spend another day at their house and with darling Rhett and Cal.

We went to Galveston beach and had a great time enjoying the sun!
