Quick Trip

Since my pregnancy has been going well, we decided that it would be alright if I flew to Utah for Ben's brother's wedding.
And it was a great decision.

We had a lot of fun with Ben's family with all the excitement and wedding festivities.

We wanted to take credit for our nephew (Ben's twin's son) Oliver, but he wasn't having it
Here is part of the family waiting for the couple's grand exit of the temple

Darling Taryn and CJ officially married

Family pictures were interesting being 8 months pregnant.
My baby bump is quite distinct and defined these days.

All the Lewis siblings, plus Taryn, the newest addition!  Hooray for another brunette :)

The luncheon & reception were held down the road in American Fork and the orange and green decorations sure were lovely
After the wedding was over Ben and I had a couple days to "hang out" in Utah.

We took full advantage of hitting a lot of our favorites such as
JDawgs, SmartCookie, Cafe Rio, Tucanos, Provo temple, and other fun things in Salt Lake!

Ben was quite the happy camper after a large meal at Tucanos

It was quite a quick trip but definitely well worth it!
Then it was back to the books (aka research) for Ben and work for me.

I've got FIVE weeks left before baby boy makes his debut!

Stay tuned for a post coming soon with the nursery pictures!

July 31st 2012

What would be better than a morning birthday hike?  I'm lucky that Ben was flexible and able to accompany me for part of the day on my birthday this year.  Tuesday birthdays aren't very conducive to celebrating.

We went to "Six Mile Creek," a nice little trail and swimming spot nearby.

The views were gorgeous and Ben loved it because he felt like he was in the mountains.

We thought we had reached the end of the trail when we got to this point, but Ben found this ridiculous steep incline that he figured we could scamper up.

I wish you could tell how steep this is, but just picture us starting down by the water.  You can imagine me with my belly trying to hang on for dear life while arguing with Ben over this silly idea! :)
Needless to say, we eventually made it up the hill and then heard people jumping into the water.

I guess the climb was worth it in the end after seeing how beautiful it was up there.  (It was less worth it when we found a much easier way to get up for next time).

Ben watched as this big group was cliff jumping off this 35 foot high spot and decided he needed to join them.

We decided we need to come back and aren't sure why we hadn't been there yet!

I was lucky to have an afternoon massage at a local spa and thoroughly enjoyed some relaxation time.
Thanks Ben!

My mom sent me these delicious "cake bites" and this peanut butter one sure hit the spot!

For dinner we went to the Taughannock Farms Inn restaurant.

We were treated to a three course meal, including this delicious strawberry soup I had.

The view was beautiful, overlooking Cayuga lake and the food was delicious.

To top off the evening I received some wonderful gifts, including my soon to be diaper bag!?!  Crazy.
This little buddy is coming next month and I cannot believe it.

What a wonderful birthday it was and the last one with just Ben!

Happy 33 weeks to baby and 24th birthday to me :)
