We were lucky to have my mom stay with us for about a week after Madeline was born. She helped with everything and anything from baths and meals, to keeping the kids busy and staying up with Maddie at night.
Michael and Annika came over for dinner on the Sunday after Madeline was born, and then Annika had her baby, cousin Cannon, four days later.
The transition to three kids was slow but not as stressful as I thought.
Lucy plays so well independently that she doesn't always need my attention.

We went to visit cousin Cannon three weeks after he was born and compared the two newborns.
William started outdoor soccer in March and we had a very rainy first game.
Maddie met Papa and Nana for the first time on March 11th at our house.
Aunt Diana had a costume party for the Jewish holiday, Purim.
William LOVES his baby sister and can often be found laying next to her.

William was very enthusiastic about St. Patrick's day and "catching a leprechaun." He set up this "trap" by himself and I improvised.
His half birthday is ON Saint Patrick's Day, so he wanted to bring green cupcakes for his whole class (not my idea) :)
One of my first outings as a family of five was to All-Together Park for a picnic dinner.
