3-4 months

It may not look like it here, but William was very excited to go to his first friend's birthday party!
He was so excited that he took a nap right in the middle of it.  William does enjoy the whistle from his goodie bag though!

One day William and Ben were matching.  They were both wearing blue and orange, so we had a photo shoot. What do you think... any resemblance between the two?!

The day before we flew home for Christmas, William celebrated his 3 month birthday.

He sure loves grabbing a hold of anything that is nearby... especially mom's hair!
It's fun that he is able to "play" with toys now.  He usually explores them by shoving them in his mouth.
Two days after we returned home from Arizona, William had his 4 month birthday!

Same cute baby, just more filled out in the middle.

William is also starting to try and sit up.  With my help he can sit up and grab his toys pretty well.  He can actually balance on his own for a little while, then he usually falls forward onto his stomach. William doesn't hate "tummy time" but is visibly frustrated that he's stuck there.

William is a happy baby.  His routine recently is to wake up once, sometimes twice, in the night (yes, we're going backwards in the sleeping category since he had a cold).  Will usually takes about 3 naps a day, with his long nap in the morning.  He goes about 4 hour between feedings and decided he only likes breastfeeding (he refused the bottle when he was sick as well).  William is in the 25th percentile for height, weight, and head size.  He seems to be hitting the normal milestones well: grabbing for toys, babbling (more chatty than normal for his age), head control, smiling, and now laughing.  It is so fun making him laugh and giggling together.  William is also very prone to drooling and chewing on almost anything, preferably my finger.  His favorite toys are his Sophie giraffe and Rattle O'Ball.  No rolling over has happened yet, but the doctor said that it's not a 4 month milestone anymore... so that's good.  William also recently found his toes.  Often times he will drop any toy and be content with holding his feet instead.  He likes to balance standing up with my help, and going high in the sky.  William and Ben still have their nightly book reading (when Ben isn't out of town at interviews or at meetings).  I still swaddle him and he loves snuggling.  I sure love my baby boy!

Holidays 2012

We had a wonderful holiday season with family and fun this past year.  Christmas was even better with our sweet William.  Ben and I flew home to Arizona for the break and stayed at both his and my house. William had a lot of family to meet for the first time:  both Grandpa's, Steven, Kelvin, Brian, Ed, Michael, Jennie, Diana, CJ, Rachel... as well as spouses and future spouses Taryn, Annika, and Adam.  And don't forget his two cousins on my side: Jackson and Abbie.  It was worth the trip out West just to have everyone see Will for the first time.

Another huge highlight of the trip was William's baby blessing.  We were lucky to share it with both of our families at Ben's house on December 23rd.  Such a sweet memory.

Festivities included my family's annual Stevens pre-Christmas party, games, treats, movies, sports, and good food of course.  The only bummer was getting the flu two days after Christmas.  December 27th was supposed to be our 3rd anniversary celebration day.  First I got sick and then Ben followed my lead a few hours later.  Poor William had helpless, sick parents for a day or two.  We rescheduled our celebrations for the following week instead.

William's first movie was Les Miserables on Christmas day, and Jack Reacher a few days later.  He has been such a fun and easy baby recently, for the most part!

Settlers was played far too many times at the Lewis home

Jennie loved little Will

We sent Ben home to Ithaca to work and prepare for his other job interviews.  William and I stayed in Arizona to enjoy another week of sunshine and warm weather.

The cousins had matching Christmas outfits that were nearly impossible to capture on camera

William and Jackson became good buddies.  You wouldn't think an almost 3 year old and a 3 month old could be compatible but Jackson sure was sweet to Will.

The only sad part after New Years was when William got an ear infection.
He was the best sick baby ever!

Steven had fun "playing" with William, but he's excited for him to get a little older!
Overall we had a wonderful time being with family and enjoying the holidays.
