Fall 2013

It is always fun to look back at pictures and remember what happened in the last month.
After reminiscing recently, I realized we have done a lot and are very blessed.

Ben and I went to three BYU football games this season.
It is fun to cheer them on as an alumnus and a faculty-spouse.

I heard about a fun pumpkin patch in Springville, called Jakers.
My expectations were low, but it ended up exceeding what I pictured.

I started a small playgroup with some friends and neighbors, and we met there for one outing.

I would definitely say this boy had fun.

He is becoming more playful and is even more active.
Often this fall I would tell William "Daddy's coming home soon".  He would then run to the garage door and demand to go outside.  Many times we would play in the back/front yard until "dada" got home from work.
He has still yet to say mama more than a few times.

One Saturday morning my sweet sister-in-law, Annika, watched William for us so we could attend the temple.  It was my first time going there, married, and it was neat to see the Provo temple together.
We also went to a handful of BYU women's soccer games.
On one occassion William met Cosmo, and was not amused.
We finally gave in and cut William's hair.
It was quite the dramatic event when it happened, but looking back I am very glad we did it.

In mid October we celebrated my Nana's birthday by surprising her at dinner.
Along with fall came more leaves than I could have imagined.
We got leaf scoops, a rake, a blower, and a broom to help with the process.
My grandparents even gave William his own rake to join in on the family chores.
A couple Saturdays ago we had quite the eventful day planned.
We had an early morning tennis game with Michael and Annika.
During that time we spotted a hot air balloon, and it landed right where we played.
William loved it.
Ben joined an intramural flag football team this fall with BYU.
I'm pretty sure part of the reason he wanted to be a professor was so he could continue to play intramurals for life!
After Ben's game we went to Bountiful to buy a car.
The newest addition to the Lewis family is our Honda CR-V.
A few hours later we went to some Halloween festivities
We got dressed up as the Toy Story crew; Jessie, Buzz and Woody.
To end the night we went to a pumpkin carving contest at CJ and Taryn's.
William loves the park.
It has been fun watching him learn how to climb the structures and enjoy the swings.
We have been checking out all the parks around Provo/Orem and the "Duck Park" has become a favorite of his.
On Halloween day we went all out.
We went trick-or-treating at the mall, trunk-or-treated at our church, and went in our neighborhood that evening.

I think William had fun.  He was pretty happy and liked all the activities.
The only setback was when we were trick-or-treating in our neighborhood William threw up on the sidewalk.  Poor buddy.  It ended our night a little early.
We even go to attend one BYU game without William !

William has become a little more "independent".
He will play in his room anywhere from 5-15 minutes by himself.
One day I snuck upstairs to see what he was doing, and found him like this.
He brings quite the excitement to our family.
We are excited to enjoy the holidays with him this year!
