We had a very
busy month of July. It began with our Jennings
cousins coming to visit in Utah. William
loves playing with Jackson and Abbie.
Maddie & Mason are only six weeks apart in age.
Their family had Mason's baby blessing at the Jennings' home with family from both sides. Rachel and I just so happened to show up wearing the same exact outfit :)
We visited the Clark Planetarium for the first time and the kids had a lot of fun!
Ben and I woke up early and ran the Freedom Run 10K on the morning of July 4th.
We enjoyed the Provo July 4th parade afterward with the Smoot family.
That evening we traveled North to the Salt Lake Country Club to be with the Christensen side for dinner and fireworks.
The Christensen great-grand kids
Four generations of Christensens
We had our whole family there with my grandparents and made great memories.
Lucy's hair started to get really long and we loved her troll hair-do this day.
The Provo Library had the most fun builder exhibit with hand-on tools and blocks for toddlers that we enjoyed all summer long.
Maddie slept really well in a double swaddled blanket until she was about 5 months old!
I brought Madeline to the Maternal Fetal Medicine nurses, Dani and Kari that helped take care of Maddie when she had Parvovirus before she was born.
The Provo Rec Center was a hit for the cousins and we enjoyed having them before they moved to Connecticut!
This year we went to warm (HOT) Saint George to spend time with Lewis cousins.
Annie and kids traveled out west from North Carolina and we spent the week at Ben's grandpa's house down near the red mountains.
The kids had a blast playing together and the girls went to the Wonder Woman movie for a girl's night out.
Annie and the Lewis boy cousins came back to Provo with us to spend a few more days of fun.
We went bowling, the Curiosity Museum, and splash pads around town.
Madeline and Caroline are only three months apart and are bound to look somewhat alike, since their dads are twins!
After the Lewis cousins went back to North Carolina we spent a couple nights in Park City with Ben's aunts and grandpa Smoot.
We had fun at the hotel pool and made a trip to Lagoon.
Holly and Lucy posed for kissing cousins and William and I had a zippy ride down the Alpine slide.
On July 22nd William and Lucy participated in a Strider Bike race.
William has ridden his Strider bike since he was two and he competed in the four-year-old heat.
Lucy received a pink bike complimentary from Strider Bikes, to compete in their special needs division. Lucy had been practicing and learning to ride for months and finally got the hang of slowly striding with her bike right before the race.
For July 24th we went to the Provo celebration at North Park. William and Lucy loved riding the ponies and playing pioneer games.
That afternoon we had lunch and slip n slide fun at Aunt Judy's house.
Lucy thoroughly enjoyed her popsicle and we had our annual marshmallow gun war.
On July 30th we met our first other family and child with Pallister-Killian-Syndrome.
"Belle-Belle" turned 3 this day and is six months older than Lucy. She and her family live in Northern California, but were visiting family in Utah. We loved meeting them and will see them again at the PKS conference next summer.
This year for my birthday, Ben got us tickets to the Salt Lake Real soccer game.
It was a fun date night out and we enjoyed watching the Real win!
We ate donuts at Rotary Park by our house and I enjoyed all the birthday freebies and meals.
Here's to my last year in my 20's!
