November 2017

The first Saturday in November, Ben and I competed in our 3rd triathlon together.
As I finished the race and got out of the pool, I looked for Ben.  I searched the pool for awhile and didn't see him.  Finally I decided to go outside and find him and there he was hobbling with a knee bandage.  Long story short, a car didn't obey the police officer's signal and drove and hit Ben at an intersection.  Ben was definitely watched over by angels as he only walked away with bruises and scrapes while he was biking at 20 mph.

Later that night we attended Ben's cousin Hailey Hyde's play, Cinderella, at the Covey Center.

The Lewises were in town for a couple days and helped me clean up our Fall leaves.  Ben was out of town with the Scouts so the three of us managed to clean up the whole front yard in a couple hours.

We started going to the BYU basketball games again and William was even more interested and involved in the players and scoring throughout the game.

We snuck in a few more park days and neighborhood walks before the cold weather hit.
We had fun at the Christmas lighting of the Riverwoods Mall.

The last home football game of BYU's season was a cold, sunny day.  We brought all the kids and everyone did pretty well.  Lucy got restless and tired at the end, but it was fun having everyone there.
Lucy would do this ABC magnet puzzle all day if she could.  She is obsessed with ABC's and puzzles and lining things up.
This year for Thanksgiving we went to St. George.
We had beautiful weather and were joined by the Lewis crew.

William was in heaven playing sports, swimming and playing with aunts/uncles/cousins.

We had a joint Turkey bowl with Taryn's extended family on Thanksgiving morning.

Everyone had fun hiking along the red rock and cliffs.

All the couples went to the St. George temple, and it was my first time inside.

We had a blast at the Thunder Junction All Abilities park on our last day there.

Throughout the year we've attended Orem's University Place Mall and their toddler Learn and Play activities.  They meet Monday mornings and do fun crafts, stories and activities.  The last week in November it was held at Midici Pizza at the mall.  The kids were able to make their own margherita pizza and enjoy their creation. YUM!
Another example of Lucy's ABC, puzzle obsession.
