We had a great pre-holiday season with no heavy snowfall and fun activities.
The kids saw Santa at the Riverwoods mall and Lucy wasn't too worried about him.
Lucy is getting SO big lately, she has been so much fun for William to have a playmate around.
Our friends invited us over for gingerbread house decorating.
Ben helped William keep his together :)
We did have a few inches of snow in December before we bought a sled.
William resorted to his Tonka truck to play with and ride in.
We had a small neighbor family musical night and enjoyed piano, songs and book readings.
It was a lot of fun celebrating with close friends and getting excited for Christmas.
I love this picture.
Not because of how I look but because it's just me and the kids.
I sure love these two!
Ben's grandpa had a little bit of a scare and was in the hospital for a few days.
We went to visit him one night and Lucy cheered him right up :)
Snowman, hot cocoa neighbor gifts.
William and Nana opening a Christmas present.
You can't beat fresh babies out of the tub!
We traveled home to Arizona the weekend before Christmas.
Tyler and Rachel were on a vacation so we hung out with their kiddos for a few days.
William loved reading Christmas stories before bed with Jackson and Abbie.
Grammy and I took the kids to the Riverview park and the Butterfly museum the next day.
On Christmas Eve we went on a "hike" around Papago Park and then came home for Tia Rosas, cookie decorating and the hot tub.
Lucy bonded with her uncle Ste (she has 2, almost 3 uncle Stev(ph)ens!)
We also had a nice Christmas Eve dinner with everyone except Michael and Annika.
Lucy played the impromptu angel for the nativity reenactment.
Yes, that is a napkin on her head :)
Then we finished the night off with new Christmas PJs and laid out our stockings!
Christmas morning came and the kids were in heaven.
William got a new play kitchen, drill set, cash register, a t-ball set and more.
We always have cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning as well.
Ben's parents were out of town the week of Christmas, so we didn't split up time with both families on Christmas this year.
We enjoyed warmer weather and lots of family.
The 6 Christensen cousins at church in their Christmas attire
This year we got into the game Farkle, and this was Ben's "punishment" after loosing one round.
The Railroad park is always a hit and the temple lights were stunning.
Ben and I celebrated our 6th anniversary with dinner and dessert thanks to family :)
Ben's parents came back to Arizona on New Year's Eve.
His siblings came down to celebrate for a few days and we had a "second Christmas" with everyone at the Lewises.
